The main areas of my research specialization include social and political philosophy, the philosophy of law, and American pragmatism. In addition to numerous articles and book chapters, I am the author of Pragmatist Egalitarianism (2018), the editor of the Cambridge Companion to Rorty (2021), and the co-editor of Pragmatism and Justice (2017) and Pessimism of the Intellect, Optimism of the Will: The Political Philosophy of Kai Nielsen (2012). Another co-edited volume, The Moral Psychology of Anxiety, has just been published in this excellent series on the moral psychology of the emotions. My latest book, which explores some of the many connections between anxiety and philosophy, was published with Oxford University Press in summer 2024. Many of my publications can be read and downloaded on my PhilPeople page.
